Dropped by for tea after walking the dog in the nearby park with my family. The Churches café is open Sat and Sunday in the Summer and just Sundays in the autumn and winter. The tea and coffee were really good. There is no pricelist as it's a donation for the drinks and the cafe is dog friendly large and spacious. So, If you're nearby and the hours are right, drop in after a good stroll for a fresh cuppa.
This is a lovely architectures building set lovely next to a park that's ideal for family and dog walks--theres a good size car park ---theres a grave yard that's well kept-- and you can not believe it is hid and appears tranquil considering there's the Rover car factory really close but you can't see or hear--a nice place to visit
Really lovely little church, very welcoming and serene. My little boy (ASD) was welcomed and thoroughly enjoyed playing with the toys in the kids area. Even though we're not religious, we were made to feel welcome.
Beautiful church which was even smaller about 40 years ago (there are pictures of it inside), sadly the extension robbed it of its intimacy taking out all but two of the original pews which had a door and candelabra on each one and replaced with the wooden chairs found today, the alter being moved to the side away from its old position under the end stained glass windows. I was Christened and Confirmed in the church and have my place in the graveyard with my family, two of whom are already there. The font in the garden of rememberance is from the original wooden 16 century church which stood on the same site. If you look by the fence next to the road you will find the graves of the pet cat and bird from the old manor house with small headstones.
